Tribute to William Girometti
William Girometti (1924-1998) was an Italian painter, born in Milan, who started his artistic career as a sculptor. Since 1968 he exhibited his works in Italy and abroad. Some of his pictures won several prizes. Many art critics wrote about Girometti’s artistic production in magazines and newspapers.
In William Girometti’s artistic production are surrealist oils, graphics, portraits, compositions and sculptures.
Particularly, surrealism was the last style through which the Artist expressed his own ideas. About his surrealist canvases many Italian and foreign critics wrote their own different interpretations, which can be nevertheless summarized in these few words: owing to his technique, William Girometti is able to analyse human beings, life and society in a very subtle and clever way.
